Irkutsk Region’s gold output falls by 2% to 25 tonnes in 2021

IRKUTSK, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- The combined gold output of companies operating in Russia’s Irkutsk Region fell by 2% on the year to 25.06 tonnes in 2021, a representative of the region’s Natural Resources and Environment Ministry told PRIME on Monday.

Of the amount, 24.39 tonnes was produced in the Bodaibinsky district, where lode gold production dropped by 2% to 15.156 tonnes.

Placer gold production decreased by 4.6% to 9.234 tonnes.
